Abstract

This article contains a description of the results of the 12th compulsory education socialization which was carried out in the village of Sadar Sriwijaya Bandar Sribhawono, East Lampung. The education policy which requires students to attend 12 years of education usually covers 6 years at primary level (SD), 3 years at junior secondary level (SMP), and 3 years at senior secondary level (SMA) or equivalent. This policy aims to provide an adequate educational basis for every citizen so that they have sufficient knowledge and skills to face challenges in society and the economy. Based on these objectives, the researcher was encouraged to carry out these activities and write the results of these activities in the form of a journal with the title Socialization of compulsory education 12 which was carried out in the village of Sadar Sriwijaya Bandar Sribhawono, East Lampung. This research method is descriptive qualitative, socialization activities regarding 12 years of compulsory education were carried out in the village of Aware Sriwijaya Dusun 12 with targets, namely children and the community. The aim of this research is as an effort to make society aware of the importance of education for the future and improve the mindset of society, especially the nation's intellectual children
