Penggunaan Media Sosial dan Interaksi Sosial pada Mahasiswa
Abstract
People use social media, an online platform, to create social networks and relationships with others who share their interests, engage in similar activities as a group, or communicate personally with people in the same field. (Akram & Kumar, 2017). According to APJII data, internet users in Indonesia will reach 215.63 million people in 2022-2023. This study aims to determine the influence of social media on student interaction. The research method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. With an audience of 40 Tidar University students. The results of the study found 82.5% women and 17.5% men, and with an average age of 18 and 19 with a percentage of 32.5%. Social media platforms that are often used are TikTok with a percentage of 50%, Instagram 42.5%, Twitter or X 2.5% and other platforms 5%. So social media has a relationship with positive and negative influences on student social interactions.
